What we don't do

Unfortunately, the market is so cluttered with arts that anticipate but do not prevent harm to oneself or others, that it is frequently necessary to express what we do not do:

1. We don't teach how to recognize the signs and symptoms of suicide or violent acts.
2. We don't provide counseling services.
3. We don't teach responses or recovery from these acts.
4. We don't provide medical services of any kind.

5. We do not account for the acts of the mentally ill.
Other qualified professionals provide these services.
What we do will greatly enhance these techniques.

The psychomorph is not a clinical approach

The psychomorph was born from the predictive science of risk management. Imagine you have an array of choices before you arranged in a matrix: Choices across the top, decision quality information down the rows. Given sufficient information, anyone should make the correct decision. Except that when it comes to choices as obvious as life or death, even perfect, or decision quality information does not stop many of us from making bad decisions and doing permanent harm.

This phenomenon, this question "why?" allowed the psychomorph to be parameterized, explored and defined. But it was born from the discipline of Risk Management and a failure in observational prediction, not through psychological services.
